SCR Reschedules Trains Amid Waterlogging in Telangana

Train Rescheduling Due to Rains: The South Central Railway (SCR) has been forced to reschedule and divert several trains due to ongoing heavy rains in Telangana, which have caused significant waterlogging on tracks. Notably, Train No. 07647 from Secunderabad to Danapur Special, initially set to depart at 9:00 pm on September 7, has been rescheduled to leave at 11:00 pm. Similarly, Train No. 22204 Secunderabad-Visakhapatnam Express, originally scheduled for 8:15 pm, will now depart at 12:15 am on September 8.

Widespread Impact on Rail Services: The intense rainfall has disrupted rail services across the region, leading to the cancellation, rescheduling, and diversion of multiple trains. Eight trains have been rerouted to avoid affected areas. For instance, Train No. 20820 from Okha to Puri has been diverted via Motumari-Vishnupuram-Guntur-Vijayawada, while Train No. 12626 from New Delhi to Trivandrum has been rerouted through Kazipet, Secunderabad, and other stations.

Ongoing Adjustments and Passenger Impact: These changes have been implemented to ensure passenger safety and to navigate the operational challenges posed by the severe weather conditions. The SCR has urged passengers to stay updated on the latest train schedules and advised them to plan their journeys accordingly, as further adjustments may be necessary if the heavy rains persist.
