Tragedy in Hyderabad: Five Members of Family Found Dead in Miyapur, Probe Underway

A major tragedy struck Hyderabad’s Miyapur on Wednesday when five members of the same family were discovered dead under suspicious circumstances at their residence in Maktha Mahboobpet Colony. The deceased were identified as 60-year-old Uppari Lakshmaiah, his wife Venkatamma (55), their daughter Kavitha (24), son-in-law Anil (32), and their two-year-old grandson Appu. The incident has sent shockwaves through the locality, raising disturbing questions about whether the deaths were a result of suicide or foul play.

Police teams, along with forensic experts, immediately reached the spot and began gathering evidence. Miyapur police confirmed that a case has been registered, and the investigation is underway to determine the sequence of events leading to the deaths. Authorities are carefully examining the house, collecting clues, and speaking with relatives and neighbours to piece together what happened. The uncertainty over whether it was a mass suicide or homicide has heightened the mystery, leaving the community in deep distress.

This tragedy comes months after a similar heart-wrenching incident in Bengaluru, where a couple allegedly poisoned their two children before taking their own lives. That case had shocked the nation, highlighting the growing number of such family tragedies. With the Hyderabad case now under investigation, police are working to uncover the truth behind the deaths, while residents remain gripped with fear and sorrow over the horrific discovery in their neighbourhood.
