Hamas has called for an international investigation into the alleged use of prohibited weapons by the Israeli military during its operations in northern Gaza. The group claims that these weapons cause “evaporation of bodies,” a phenomenon reportedly witnessed by medical professionals and citizens. Dr. Munir Al-Bursh, Director General of Gaza’s Ministry of Health, described these weapons as unlike any seen before, leaving no remains of the victims. Civil Defense reports from August noted that 1,760 Palestinians had been completely disintegrated due to these weapons, which are claimed to violate international laws.
The ongoing conflict has resulted in devastating casualties in Gaza. According to Hamas, nearly 3,000 people have been killed in northern Gaza, with injuries surpassing 10,000, the majority of whom are women and children. Overall, the Palestinian health ministry has reported a death toll of over 44,382 and more than 105,142 injuries since October 7, 2023.
Hamas has urged the global community to take immediate action, condemning the siege and attacks on Gaza as violations of international law and human rights. The group seeks the establishment of an impartial international body to investigate these allegations and hold accountable those responsible for the reported use of internationally banned weapons.
