In a shocking display of violence, Delhi witnessed three separate murders within 24 hours on Thursday, prompting the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) to launch a scathing attack on the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) over the deteriorating law and order situation in the capital. The first incident occurred in Nabi Karim, Central Delhi, where a minor road mishap escalated into a fatal altercation. A 34-year-old man named Mahendra was brutally stabbed to death with a screwdriver by two brothers, Lucky and Sagar, who fled the scene and are currently absconding.
The second incident unfolded in Punjabi Basti, also in Central Delhi, where 24-year-old Ashish Anand was fatally stabbed. According to the victim’s mother, the murder was a result of a premeditated conspiracy involving multiple individuals. She alleged that the accused had a history of confrontations with her son and were drinking outside their residence on the night of the attack. Delhi Police have arrested two individuals and are actively searching for the remaining suspects involved in the case.
In the third and most heartbreaking case, 17-year-old Kunal was stabbed to death in Seelampur, North East Delhi. Despite being rushed to the hospital, he succumbed to his injuries. The police have launched a manhunt to nab those responsible. Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta confirmed she had spoken to the police commissioner, assuring that the culprits will be brought to justice. AAP leaders, including former CM Atishi and Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Singh, strongly criticized the BJP government, accusing it of failing to maintain public safety in the national capital.
