Cockroach Janta Party Expands Leadership Team Ahead of Education Protest

The Cockroach Janta Party (CJP), a recently launched youth-focused political movement, has announced the appointment of three spokespersons as it prepares to intensify its campaign on education-related issues across the country. In a statement released on Wednesday, the organization named investigative journalist Saurav Das as its Chief Spokesperson, while political researcher and filmmaker Vijeta Dahiya, along with former management consultant Ashutosh Ranka, will serve as official representatives of the party before the public and media. The party said the appointments reflect its commitment to bringing a new generation of voices into the national political discourse.

According to the organization, Saurav Das brings extensive experience in reporting on legal, judicial, and social issues and was actively associated with public campaigns, including anti-pollution protests held in New Delhi last year. Vijeta Dahiya, known for his work as a political researcher, author, and filmmaker, has contributed to research and content production for several digital platforms and YouTube creators. The party highlighted his academic background from Delhi Technological University and noted his involvement in filmmaking and authorship. Meanwhile, Ashutosh Ranka, an alumnus of IIT Kanpur and the London School of Economics, previously worked with global consulting firm McKinsey & Company before returning to India to participate in public initiatives focusing on education, youth welfare, and environmental concerns.

The appointments come ahead of the scheduled return of CJP founder Abhijeet Dipke to India on June 6. Dipke has announced plans to launch a peaceful protest in Delhi demanding accountability over alleged irregularities in major educational examinations, including concerns related to the NEET paper leak controversy and the CBSE system. Since its launch last month, the Cockroach Janta Party has attracted significant attention on social media, particularly among students and young citizens who view the platform as a voice for education reforms and youth-centric issues. Party leaders say the newly appointed spokespersons will play a key role in expanding outreach efforts and communicating the movement’s objectives to a wider audience.
