CM Revanth Reddy Pays Tribute to Green Crusader Vanajeevi Ramaiah

Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy expressed deep sorrow over the demise of Padma Shri awardee Daripalli Ramaiah, affectionately known as Vanajeevi for his tireless commitment to environmental conservation. Remembering him as a visionary who believed that human survival was impossible without nurturing nature, the Chief Minister highlighted Ramaiah’s lifelong mission of planting trees and promoting greenery across Telangana.

Ramaiah’s self-initiated plantation drive turned into a movement that inspired thousands to contribute towards a greener future. Armed with a simple vision and unmatched dedication, he single-handedly sowed lakhs of saplings and nurtured them with personal care. His contributions earned him national recognition, including the prestigious Padma Shri, but more importantly, a place in the hearts of the people.


Calling his death an irreparable loss to society, CM Revanth Reddy stated that Vanajeevi Ramaiah’s legacy will continue to live through the trees he planted and the lives he touched. He extended heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family and urged citizens to carry forward Ramaiah’s mission by actively participating in environmental protection and tree plantation drives.
