Chaos at Teenmaar Mallanna’s Office: Gunshots Fired After Clash Over K Kavitha Remarks

A violent episode unfolded on Sunday, July 13, at the Medipally office of suspended Congress leader Chintapandu Naveen Kumar, famously known as MLC Teenmaar Mallanna, after he allegedly made derogatory comments about BRS MLC and Telangana Jagruthi President K Kavitha. The remarks reportedly targeted Kavitha’s active involvement in the BC (Backward Classes) movement, sparking intense backlash from her supporters. Enraged by the comments, nearly 50 workers of the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) stormed into the Q News office—Mallanna’s YouTube-based media outlet—vandalizing property and attacking staff, including an attempt to reach Mallanna himself.

As the situation escalated and the mob turned increasingly violent, Teenmaar Mallanna’s personal security guard resorted to aerial firing, discharging five rounds to control the crowd and prevent further damage. Despite these measures, a Q News staff member named Sai sustained injuries during the confrontation. Witnesses report shattered glass panes, broken office furniture, and a tense standoff that rattled the area. The gunshots, while not directed at anyone, were intended to disperse the agitated protestors and protect those inside the premises, including Mallanna.

Law enforcement authorities reached the location shortly after the violence broke out and swiftly brought the chaos under control. Several BRS workers involved in the assault were detained on the spot. The incident has intensified the ongoing political friction in Telangana, with many questioning the limits of free speech and the boundaries of political retaliation. Meanwhile, the controversy surrounding K Kavitha’s campaign and Teenmaar Mallanna’s outspoken commentary continues to provoke sharp divisions among political factions and their followers across the state.
