In Adilabad’s Mukhra (K) village, farmers have openly expressed their desire to see former Chief Minister K. Chandrashekhar Rao back in power. On Monday, they offered Mangal Harati to a flex poster of KCR, symbolizing their reverence and belief that only his leadership could improve their livelihoods. Villagers recalled that during his tenure, agricultural support was consistent and reliable, unlike the current Congress government’s benefits, which they alleged were extended only around elections.
The farmers also raised concerns about the crop loan waiver scheme under the Congress, stating that only half of the cultivators received its benefits. Many said they are now suffering due to a shortage of urea, which has disrupted their farming cycles. They remembered how, under KCR, urea would reach their homes directly, ensuring uninterrupted cultivation and financial stability for farming families. This contrast has deepened their dissatisfaction with the present administration.
Accusing the Congress of betraying people across all sectors, the farmers claimed that their lives have come to a standstill. They emphasized that without timely support, agriculture — the backbone of their community — cannot survive. The demand for KCR’s return reflects a growing sentiment among rural Telangana farmers who feel left behind in the promises of the current regime.
