Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy has directed state officials to prepare a comprehensive Child Online Safety Framework aimed at protecting children from cybercrimes and online threats. Announcing the initiative at the National Legal Services Authority’s Southern Regional Conference, the Chief Minister said the framework will be developed in consultation with the Telangana High Court and the Telangana State Legal Services Authority (TGSLSA) to strengthen child safety in the digital space.
Highlighting the role of families in online safety, Revanth Reddy urged parents to maintain open and non-judgmental conversations with their children about their internet experiences. He also encouraged every family to remember the cybercrime helpline number 1930 and the Childline helpline 1098. Reaffirming the state’s commitment to the safety of women and children, he pointed to initiatives such as Bharosa Centres, Hyderabad’s Child Friendly Court, and the SHE-Bharosa Cyber Labs, which provide police assistance, medical support, legal aid, counselling, and cyber safety services.
During the event, the Chief Minister said the state is also promoting digital awareness through the CybHER app, which helps students and teachers learn safe online practices. He further launched the TGSLSA Freedom from Bonded Labour – Legal Aid, Rescue, Rehabilitation and Re-integration Scheme, 2026, designed to simplify the reporting of bonded labour cases, support rescue and rehabilitation efforts, and raise awareness about the legal rights of workers.
