Four people lost their lives and several others were injured after a passenger bus plunged into a valley near Ananthagiri Hills in Telangana’s Vikarabad district. The accident occurred at around 11:30 am when the bus, travelling from Ananthagiri towards Tandur, reportedly went out of control, veered off the road and fell into the valley. Around 40 passengers were on board at the time of the crash, triggering a major rescue operation.
Local residents rushed to the accident site immediately after the bus fell into the valley and began rescuing injured passengers before emergency teams arrived. The injured were shifted to nearby hospitals for treatment, while critically injured passengers were referred to super-speciality hospitals. Authorities launched rescue and relief operations to ensure all passengers were evacuated safely from the accident site.
Vikarabad Superintendent of Police Sneha Mehra confirmed that four people were killed in the accident. She said the District Medical and Health Officer, along with hospital staff, is closely monitoring the condition of the injured patients. Police are investigating the circumstances that led to the accident, while officials continue to oversee treatment and relief efforts for those affected.
