RTC–Metro Common Pass Rolled Out to Improve Hyderabad Commute

The Telangana government has introduced the RTC–Metro Common Pass to provide smoother and more convenient travel for commuters using Hyderabad’s Metro Rail and TGSRTC bus services. The integrated pass allows passengers to switch between Metro trains and RTC buses with a single ticket, reducing travel hassles and promoting seamless public transportation across the city.

Deputy Chief Minister and Finance Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka personally reviewed the new facility by travelling with the Common Pass from Begumpet Metro Station to Jubilee Hills Check Post. Accompanied by state ministers, MLAs and senior officials, he interacted with passengers during the journey to gather feedback on the ease of using the integrated travel system and to identify any issues faced while changing between Metro and bus services.

Speaking during the inspection, the Deputy Chief Minister said passenger convenience remains the government’s top priority and stressed the importance of making Hyderabad’s public transport system more efficient. Officials said commuter feedback collected during the visit will help improve the implementation of the Common Pass and strengthen coordination between Metro Rail and TGSRTC services to encourage greater use of public transport.
