In a significant political development, Telangana Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy has expanded his cabinet by inducting three new ministers. Chennur MLA G Vivek Venkat Swamy, Dharmapuri MLA Adluri Laxman, and Makthal MLA V Srihari are all set to take oath as cabinet ministers today at Raj Bhavan. The ceremony will be administered by Governor Jishnu Dev Varma, who arrived in Hyderabad last night. The event is scheduled for 12 noon and will be attended by key leaders including Deputy CM Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka and senior Congress figures.

This move comes after weeks of speculation, with the Congress high command finalizing the names based on regional and community representation. Vivek hails from the Mala community, Laxman from the Madiga community, and Srihari represents the Backward Classes (BC). Their inclusion is seen as a strategic attempt to balance caste and regional equations within the state cabinet. However, the official allocation of portfolios is still pending.

Alongside the cabinet induction, Dornakal MLA J Ramchander Naik will be appointed as the new Deputy Speaker of the Telangana Legislative Assembly. CM Revanth Reddy extended congratulations to the new appointees in a post on X, expressing confidence in their contributions to the state’s governance.
