Rekha Gupta to Take Oath as Delhi CM Along with Six Cabinet Ministers

Rekha Gupta is set to be sworn in as the new Chief Minister of Delhi in a grand ceremony at Ramlila Maidan today. Along with her, six leaders from the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) will take oath as cabinet ministers. The event will be attended by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and other senior dignitaries. The BJP secured a massive victory in the Delhi Assembly elections, winning 48 out of 70 seats. This marks the party’s return to power in the capital after a long gap, with Gupta emerging as the leader of the new government. The cabinet ministers sworn in today will play a crucial role in shaping Delhi’s administration under the new regime.

Among the key ministers taking oath, Parvesh Sahib Singh Verma is a significant figure, having defeated AAP leader and former CM Arvind Kejriwal in a historic electoral battle. Kapil Mishra, who was once a minister in the Kejriwal government before switching to the BJP, has also secured a place in the cabinet. Manjinder Singh Sirsa, who reclaimed the Rajouri Garden seat, is another important inclusion. Other ministers include Ashish Sood, a prominent BJP leader who won from Janakpuri, Pankaj Kumar Singh, a former MCD councillor and dentist, and Ravinder Indraj Singh, a Dalit leader who won the Bawana seat. Their appointments reflect BJP’s strategy of balancing caste, regional, and political factors in the new government.

With this new leadership, the BJP aims to bring a fresh administrative approach to Delhi, focusing on governance, development, and infrastructure. The party has positioned this transition as a decisive shift from the AAP government’s policies, promising a more accountable and transparent administration. The oath-taking ceremony at Ramlila Maidan is expected to draw a large crowd, signaling the beginning of a new era in Delhi’s political landscape.
