Massive Blaze Erupts After Petrol Tanker Crashes Near Bengaluru, Two Trucks Destroyed

A major fire broke out on the outskirts of Bengaluru after a petrol tanker crashed into a roadside tree near Doddaballapur, triggering a massive blaze that completely destroyed the tanker and a nearby milk lorry. The incident occurred near the 11th Mile under the jurisdiction of Doddabelavangala Police Station on Wednesday. According to police, the driver of the fuel tanker reportedly lost control of the vehicle before it rammed into the tree, causing the highly inflammable fuel to catch fire within moments. Thick plumes of smoke and towering flames engulfed the area, creating panic among motorists and local residents.

The fire quickly spread to a milk lorry that was reversing nearby, reducing both heavy vehicles to charred shells within minutes. Fortunately, the drivers of both vehicles noticed the flames in time and managed to jump out before the fire intensified, escaping without any injuries. Fire and Emergency Services personnel rushed to the scene and launched an extensive firefighting operation. After considerable efforts, firefighters succeeded in bringing the blaze under control, preventing it from spreading to nearby vehicles, vegetation, or surrounding properties.

The accident caused temporary traffic disruptions as authorities cordoned off the area and worked to clear the burnt vehicles from the road. Police have confirmed that no casualties were reported in the incident, while Doddabelavangala Police have registered a case and initiated an investigation to determine the exact cause of the crash. Officials are expected to examine whether mechanical failure, driver error, or any other factor led to the accident.
