A major accident was narrowly averted on Wednesday, July 30, in Jammu and Kashmir’s Ganderbal district when a bus carrying Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) personnel skidded off the road and fell into the Sindh river near Kullan. Officials confirmed that all security personnel onboard were successfully rescued. The mishap occurred amidst heavy rainfall in the region, which has caused several disruptions across Kashmir in recent days.

Although the exact number of passengers aboard the ill-fated bus has not been disclosed, it was confirmed that the driver suffered injuries and was promptly shifted to a nearby hospital for treatment.
