Hyderabad Police Bans DJ Music for Upcoming Navaratri, Dasara Celebrations

The Hyderabad police have instructed DJ music system providers not to supply sound systems for Navaratri and Dasara celebrations from October 3 to 12. This decision follows the Telangana High Court’s order prohibiting loud music between 10 pm and 6 am. The police cite complaints from the public, health risks, and noise pollution as reasons for the ban.

Additionally, the police claim that loud music interferes with their communication network, which uses walkie-talkies on different frequencies. This disruption can lead to confusion and mismanagement during large processions. The police also rely on whistle instructions to manage crowds, which can be drowned out by the loud music.
