The Telangana High Court has declared Friday, September 25, a holiday for the High Court and all courts located in and around Hyderabad and Secunderabad in view of the Ganesh idol immersion procession. The decision was taken to facilitate smooth conduct of the large-scale Visarjan celebrations and to avoid disruption caused by traffic restrictions and public movement across the twin cities.

To compensate for the holiday, the High Court has announced that Saturday, December 5, will be observed as a working day. The revised schedule is intended to ensure that court functioning and judicial work are not affected despite the special holiday declared for the immersion procession.

Meanwhile, Hyderabad Police have made elaborate security arrangements for Ganesh Visarjan, deploying around 20,000 police personnel across the city. Senior officials, along with representatives from GHMC, HYDRAA, the Roads and Buildings Department and other agencies, have inspected the procession routes to ensure smooth traffic management, public safety and the peaceful conduct of the immersion celebrations.
