Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy announced the establishment of a Gulf Welfare Board to support workers employed in Gulf countries. Speaking at the Praja Palana, Praja Vijayotsavalu event, he emphasized the government’s commitment to addressing the challenges faced by this community. As part of the initiative, a Rs. 5 lakh insurance scheme will be introduced for families of Gulf workers who lose their lives in accidents.
Highlighting his government’s achievements over the past 10 months, Reddy contrasted them with the decade-long rule of the BRS under K. Chandrashekar Rao (KCR). He claimed that the Congress-led government has created jobs, supported farmers, and accelerated developmental projects while accusing the BRS of obstructing progress and spreading misinformation. He further pointed out the BRS’s poor performance in the last Lok Sabha elections, where it failed to secure any seats.
Reddy challenged KCR and his party to a discussion in the assembly to compare their records transparently. He urged KCR to participate in the assembly session and address critical governance issues, promoting accountability and public engagement.
