Tiger Footprints Trigger High Alert Across Siddipet Villages, Forest Dept Launches Intensive Search

Panic spread across several villages in after suspected tiger footprints were discovered in the Toguta mandal, prompting an immediate alert among residents and forest officials. The tracks were found on the outskirts of Gudikandula, Govardhanagiri, Varadarajupalli, and Ellareddipeta villages, raising concerns that a big cat may be moving close to human habitation.

Forest officials believe the tiger may have entered Siddipet from nearby forest regions of Nizamabad or Kamareddy nearly a week ago. District Forest Officer Padmaja Rani, along with Forest Officer Ramalingam and field staff, inspected the affected areas to assess the situation, as authorities remain cautious due to the proximity of farms, grazing zones, and village settlements.

The has deployed six special teams comprising 45 personnel to track the animal’s movement. Continuous patrolling is underway, and 15 trap cameras have been installed to trace the tiger’s path. Residents, particularly farmers and cattle herders, have been advised not to move alone and to stay alert until further instructions are issued.
