Telangana Director General of Police B Shivadhar Reddy on Monday suspended three police officers in Warangal after an inquiry found that a false case had been registered under their watch. The action follows a complaint alleging serious procedural violations at the Mattewada police station under the Warangal Police Commissionerate.
The suspended officers have been identified as former ACP Nandiram Naik, CCS Inspector T Gopi, and Sub-Inspector Vithal. According to officials, an internal investigation was ordered after allegations surfaced that the officers deliberately registered fabricated cases. Based on the findings and a detailed report submitted to senior authorities, the DGP approved their suspension with immediate effect.
Police officials said disciplinary proceedings would continue against the accused personnel as per service rules. The move is being seen as part of the state police leadership’s effort to enforce accountability and deter misuse of authority within the force. Further action will be taken after completion of the departmental inquiry, officials added.
