Tamil Nadu CM MK Stalin Hospitalised After Feeling Dizzy During Morning Walk

Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin was rushed to Apollo Hospital in Chennai early Monday morning after experiencing a bout of giddiness during his routine morning walk. According to an official statement from Apollo Hospitals, the 72-year-old DMK leader was admitted for a detailed evaluation and diagnostic tests. The hospital clarified that the condition appeared mild, and necessary medical procedures are being conducted as a precautionary measure.

The hospital’s Director of Medical Services, Dr. Anil B G, confirmed the development through a press release dated July 21. He stated that CM Stalin is undergoing a thorough check-up to understand the cause of the sudden dizziness. There is no immediate cause for concern, officials suggest, but the incident comes at a time of heightened political activity in the state, making Stalin’s health a matter of significant public and political interest.

Earlier in the day, before the health scare, CM Stalin had extended warm birthday greetings to Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge via social media, praising his leadership in strengthening the INDIA alliance. Meanwhile, a major political shift also took place as AIADMK’s former Minister A Anwhar Raajhaa joined the DMK in Stalin’s presence—adding further weight to the party ahead of the 2026 assembly elections. The Chief Minister’s sudden hospitalisation has sparked concern across political circles and among the public, though doctors remain optimistic about his recovery.
