Seven From Telangana Killed in Two Separate Road Accidents in Andhra Pradesh

At least seven people from Telangana lost their lives in two separate road accidents reported from Andhra Pradesh in the early hours of Friday. The victims hailed from Hyderabad and Suryapet districts, police said, adding that the incidents occurred within a few hours of each other, highlighting the dangers of late-night and early-morning travel on highways.

In the first accident, four persons travelling in a car were killed on the spot and two others sustained critical injuries after their vehicle collided head-on with a private bus in Nandyal district. The mishap occurred around 3 am between Nallagatla and Battaluru villages when the car allegedly lost control, crossed the road divider and rammed into the oncoming bus, which was travelling from Hyderabad to Puducherry. The deceased were identified as Gunde Rao, Shravan, Narasimha and Bunny, all residents of Nizampet in Hyderabad. The injured were rushed to a nearby hospital for treatment.

In another tragic incident, three people from Telangana’s Suryapet district were killed near Ankireddypalem village in Guntur district. The victims—Sushila (64), Venkaiah (70) and Mahesh (28)—were reportedly returning from Tirupati when their vehicle met with an accident on Friday morning. All three died on the spot. Police have registered cases in both incidents and launched investigations to determine the exact causes of the crashes.
