Police Officer’s Car Crashes into Bike and School Bus in Medak; Injuries Reported

A shocking incident occurred in Pathur village, Medak district, on Monday afternoon when a car allegedly owned by a police officer went on a reckless drive, colliding with both a two-wheeler and a school bus. The accident happened around 3:55 PM, leaving a bike rider with a fractured leg while several school children sustained minor injuries. Locals reported that the bus belonged to a private school and was returning to Medak town after picking up students from surrounding villages.

According to eyewitnesses, the mishap began when the bike rider, emerging from an approach road, attempted to merge onto the main road. At that moment, the speeding car approached from the opposite direction and struck the two-wheeler, sending the rider tumbling onto the road. Without slowing down, the car then rammed into the side of a school bus carrying children, causing panic among the young passengers. Thankfully, the bus driver acted swiftly, steering away and bringing the vehicle to a halt, which prevented a potentially deadly collision.

The vehicle involved bore registration number TS 35H 0895 and had “POLICE” displayed prominently on both the front and rear windscreens. This has raised questions among locals about the driver’s conduct and whether misuse of official identity might have contributed to the recklessness. Authorities are investigating the matter, and calls for strict action against the errant driver have grown louder in the wake of the incident. Meanwhile, the injured bike rider is receiving treatment, and all school children have been safely handed over to their parents.
