Nearly 4 Lakh Voters Eligible for Jubilee Hills By-Poll, Confirms GHMC

The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) has released the final voters list for the upcoming Jubilee Hills Assembly by-election, confirming that a total of 3,98,982 electors will be eligible to cast their votes. The announcement was made by GHMC Commissioner and District Election Officer R. V. Karnan at the GHMC head office on Tuesday, marking an important step in the election preparedness process. The revised electoral rolls finalize the number of voters who will decide the outcome in one of Hyderabad’s most high-profile constituencies.

According to officials, the compilation of the voters list involved an extensive verification exercise to ensure accuracy and inclusivity. Special attention was given to updating records, removing duplicates, and enrolling new voters, particularly first-time electors. The GHMC stated that the final figures represent the most authentic and updated list of eligible citizens, and polling authorities are now focusing on arrangements to ensure smooth conduct of the by-poll. The release of the list has also drawn attention from political parties, who are expected to intensify their campaigns with renewed strategies in light of the confirmed voter base.

The Jubilee Hills constituency has historically been a politically significant seat, often drawing high voter engagement and intense competition between major parties. With nearly four lakh electors now confirmed, the upcoming by-poll is expected to witness keenly contested campaigns and a heavy voter turnout. Officials added that preparations are underway to ensure adequate polling stations, enhanced security measures, and voter awareness drives to encourage maximum participation on polling day. The GHMC has urged citizens to cooperate with election authorities and make full use of their democratic right in this crucial electoral exercise.
