A massive fire broke out early Thursday morning at Super Furniture Works, a workshop located opposite Old Eidgah in Madannapet, Hyderabad. The blaze rapidly spread across three interconnected shops, but no casualties were reported. Locals alerted authorities after hearing a loud noise and noticing flames erupting from the premises. Fire tenders from Malakpet, Chandrayangutta, Musheerabad, and Moghalpura rushed to the scene, along with local police and Disaster Response Force (DRF) teams.
With the shutters locked, DRF personnel had to break them open using crowbars and cutters before firefighters could begin their operations. The teams worked for nearly three hours to bring the fire under control. While the exact cause of the blaze is yet to be determined, the rapid spread of the flames caused extensive damage to the workshop and nearby property. Local residents expressed concern over the lack of safety measures in such establishments, calling for stricter regulations.
Authorities are now investigating the cause of the fire and assessing the extent of the damage. Fire officials commended the swift response of the teams involved, which prevented the fire from spreading further. The incident has raised questions about fire safety compliance, with officials urging commercial establishments to adhere to safety protocols to avoid similar mishaps in the future.
