The conflict between Iran and the United States intensified on Saturday as both sides exchanged fresh military actions across the Gulf region. According to Iranian officials, overnight US strikes damaged a desalination facility in Hormozgan province, disrupting drinking water supplies to around 10,000 residents across 20 villages. Iranian state media reported casualties in the province, while US Central Command said its forces carried out a seventh consecutive night of operations targeting military logistics, surveillance infrastructure, underground weapons storage sites, and maritime capabilities.

In response, Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) claimed it launched missile and drone attacks against US military facilities in Kuwait, Bahrain, and Jordan, including air bases, logistics hubs, and naval support infrastructure. Kuwaiti authorities confirmed that a fire broke out at a power generation and water desalination plant following the latest attacks, while Bahrain reported intercepting multiple aerial threats. Kuwait also temporarily suspended operations at its international airport because of regional security concerns, leading to flight disruptions.

The widening conflict has increased tensions across the Middle East, with air raid sirens sounding in several Gulf countries and heightened military activity reported in Lebanon and the occupied West Bank. Iran has warned countries hosting US forces that they could face further retaliation, while the US has advised its citizens to reconsider travel to the region due to the deteriorating security situation. As both sides continue military operations and exchange accusations over attacks on civilian and strategic infrastructure, concerns are growing that the conflict could further destabilize the Gulf and disrupt regional security and international shipping.
