Hyderabad Metro Rail has announced extended services on Friday, September 25, to facilitate devotees participating in the Ganesh immersion (Ganesh Nimarjan) festivities across the city. Metro trains will continue operating late into the night, with the last trains from all terminal stations departing at 1:00 AM on Saturday, September 26. The decision aims to provide a convenient travel option and help commuters avoid heavy road congestion and parking issues during the large-scale celebrations.

The extended metro services come as Hyderabad witnesses one of its biggest annual religious events, with thousands of devotees expected to travel towards major immersion points. Authorities have advised citizens to make use of the Metro wherever possible, as it offers a faster and safer alternative to road transport amid the expected increase in traffic across several parts of the city.

Meanwhile, Hyderabad Police have issued a detailed traffic advisory for the immersion procession. Traffic restrictions will remain in force from 6:00 AM on September 25 until 10:00 AM on September 26, with several major routes reserved exclusively for Ganesh idol processions. Processions from Balapur, Secunderabad, Chilkalguda, Dilsukhnagar, Tarnaka and other areas will converge towards the main immersion locations via designated routes. Commuters have been urged to plan their journeys in advance and follow police advisories to ensure smooth movement and public safety.
