A daring burglary at a jewellery store in Hyderabad’s Banjara Hills has left police investigating after nearly one kilogram of gold jewellery was stolen. According to police, the theft took place on the night of July 16 when unidentified burglars allegedly entered the store through a washroom window. The stolen ornaments, including seven necklaces and seven pairs of earrings, had reportedly been kept inside a locker for diamond-setting work. The incident came to light after the jewellery was found missing, prompting the store owner, Pritesh Ramani, to file a complaint with the Banjara Hills Police.

Police have registered a case under Section 303 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) and launched an investigation. Officials suspect the accused were familiar with the store’s layout, as they appeared to have entered and exited through the washroom window without attracting attention. Investigators are examining CCTV footage from the shop and nearby areas to trace the suspects and determine how the burglary was carefully executed.

The incident has raised fresh concerns over the security of commercial establishments in the city, particularly jewellery stores handling high-value ornaments.
