Gurugram biker Shivani Chauhan, popularly known as Sia, has demanded strict action against Kalyan Bainsla and others allegedly involved in the hit-and-run incident on Golf Course Road, saying his arrest alone is not enough. After recording her statement before the district court, she alleged that an attempt was made on her life and insisted that the other occupants of the car should also be arrested. Chauhan said granting bail within a few days would not amount to justice and warned that similar incidents could continue if all those responsible are not punished.

Police arrested Kalyan Bainsla, 33, and his cousin Lovneesh, 34, in Rajasthan after a two-day search. According to investigators, Bainsla allegedly rammed his Maruti Suzuki Ciaz into Chauhan’s motorcycle after an argument on the road. Gurugram Police said CCTV footage, Instagram videos and the victim’s statement indicated that the collision was deliberate, leading to the addition of attempt-to-murder and other charges under the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS). Police also impounded the vehicle used in the incident and produced both accused before a local court.

Responding to claims by Bainsla’s relatives that she was playing the “victim card,” Chauhan rejected the allegations and said she would continue pursuing the case regardless of public criticism. She told the court that she suffered injuries in the incident and has been advised to undergo medical examinations, including MRI and X-rays. The case gained nationwide attention after a video of the alleged hit-and-run went viral on social media, prompting police to register a suo motu case before later adding more serious charges following the victim’s formal complaint.
