Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) founder Abhijeet Dipke has sparked a fresh political controversy after posting a satirical resignation letter on social media, pretending to resign as the Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh. The letter, designed to resemble an official government document, mocked the state’s administration by claiming responsibility for issues such as the Balaghat child deaths and the Sagar hooch tragedy. Shared a day after Dipke was allegedly heckled during his visit to Balaghat, the post quickly went viral and drew mixed reactions online.

The satirical letter also took aim at Chief Minister Mohan Yadav and the state government, accusing them of failing to address major public issues. However, the post triggered criticism from several social media users and political supporters, who alleged that Dipke had misused the official letterhead of the Chief Minister’s Office. Some demanded legal action, with calls for an FIR to be registered against him for impersonation and misuse of government insignia. CJP leaders, meanwhile, defended the post as political satire, with party spokesperson Ashutosh Ranka jokingly responding that Dipke was “running away” from responsibility.

The controversy comes amid heightened political attention over recent developments in Madhya Pradesh. Dipke had travelled to Balaghat to meet the families of tribal children who reportedly died from infectious diseases, where he was confronted by a group of social media influencers in an incident that went viral. At the same time, the state government continues to face scrutiny over the Balaghat health crisis and the Sagar hooch tragedy, in which 16 people lost their lives after allegedly consuming spurious liquor. The Madhya Pradesh High Court has also sought responses from several state authorities regarding the reported deaths of children and the condition of healthcare facilities in the affected region.
