Family Seeks Justice for Bengaluru Techie Atul Subhash Amid Allegations of Harassment

The tragic death of Atul Subhash, an AI engineer from Bengaluru, has sparked outrage and calls for justice. Atul’s family, devastated by his alleged suicide, returned to Patna with his ashes, demanding accountability for the circumstances surrounding his death. His mother, who fainted during an emotional media interaction at the Patna airport, accused individuals of harassing and torturing her son. Atul’s brother, Vikas Kumar, revealed a poignant detail from the deceased’s suicide note, which expressed frustration over being denied justice. The note alleged corruption within the judiciary, stating a judge had demanded a ₹5 lakh bribe and requested that if justice remained elusive, his ashes be discarded near the court.

The case has taken a legal turn as the Marathahalli Police in Bengaluru registered an FIR against four individuals, including Atul’s wife and her family members, under various sections of the law. Atul’s brother claims the harassment stemmed from familial disputes, which escalated to a breaking point despite Atul being married since 2019. The FIR highlights accusations of mental and emotional abuse, amplifying the family’s demand for a thorough investigation. Atul’s cousin, Bajrang Prasad Agarwal, shared that while the family was aware of discord, they were shocked by the severity of the situation leading to this tragic outcome.

The incident has reignited debates about accountability and the misuse of laws in personal disputes. Atul’s family is urging authorities to expedite the investigation and ensure that justice prevails. With growing public attention, the case underscores the importance of addressing mental health and systemic issues contributing to such tragedies.
