Singapore-Based Tech Executive Shot Dead in Faridabad After Parking Dispute Turns Violent

A senior technology executive who had returned from Singapore to attend his nephew’s wedding was allegedly shot dead by his neighbour following a dispute over a parking space in Faridabad, Haryana. The victim, Paramjit Dhankhar, was reportedly hit multiple times after an argument escalated outside their residential building in Sector 21C. According to police, the accused, identified as Mohan alias Monu Sharma, allegedly fired around 15 rounds from his licensed pistol, striking Dhankhar nine times. The victim died at the scene before medical assistance could arrive.

Police said the confrontation began when Dhankhar returned home from the gym and found the accused’s car parked in his designated parking space. After asking Sharma to move the vehicle, an argument broke out, which soon turned violent. Investigators also revealed that both families had been involved in repeated disputes over the accused’s pet dog, which was allegedly allowed to relieve itself in the common parking area. Officials said there had been several heated arguments in recent days, including an incident in which abusive language was allegedly used against the victim’s son, adding to the long-standing tensions between the neighbours.

Following the shooting, the accused allegedly fled with his family, prompting a large-scale police search. Crime Branch officers and forensic experts examined the scene and recovered several empty cartridge cases as part of the investigation. Dhankhar’s body has been sent for post-mortem examination, while multiple police teams have been formed to trace and arrest the accused. Authorities said they are investigating both the immediate trigger for the shooting and the history of disputes between the two families to establish the complete sequence of events.
