The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has announced L Deepak Reddy as its official candidate for the upcoming Jubilee Hills by-election in Hyderabad. The announcement was made on Wednesday, October 15, 2025. Deepak Reddy, who previously contested the 2023 Telangana Assembly elections, had secured 25,866 votes, accounting for 14.11 percent of the total votes polled in the constituency. His candidature is expected to add strength to the BJP’s campaign in the high-profile segment of the city.

The by-election for Jubilee Hills was necessitated by the demise of sitting MLA Maganti Gopinath of the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS), who passed away earlier this year.
