Arvind Kejriwal Offers Advice to J&K CM Designate Omar Abdullah

Arvind Kejriwal, the Aam Aadmi Party convenor, has offered words of wisdom to Omar Abdullah, the chief minister-designate of Jammu and Kashmir, saying, “If you face any problem, ask me, I know how to run Delhi” [user input]. This statement was made at a rally in Doda, where AAP candidate Mehraj Malik secured the party’s first victory in the J&K elections, defeating BJP’s Gajay Singh Rana by a margin of over 4,538 votes.

Kejriwal’s advice stems from his experience running Delhi, which, like Jammu and Kashmir, has been made a “half state” with significant power given to the Lieutenant Governor [user input]. He expressed hope that Mehraj Malik, the AAP MLA, would be given a responsibility in Omar Abdullah’s government, enabling him to serve the entire Jammu and Kashmir, including Doda.
