Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) founder Abhijeet Dipke has clarified that his higher education in the United States was financed through a scholarship and an education loan, following questions raised about the funding of his overseas studies. Speaking to reporters in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, Dipke said he received a scholarship from Boston University and also took an education loan, which he is still repaying. He added that he is prepared to make all relevant documents public and welcomed any investigation into the matter.

The clarification comes after a Surat-based RTI activist sought an inquiry into the financial background of Dipke’s family, alleging that his father, a retired government employee, had financed his education abroad. Responding to the allegations, Dipke reiterated that both the scholarship and loan records are available and can be verified by authorities. He also questioned political opponents, saying transparency should apply equally to everyone in public life.

Apart from addressing the controversy, Dipke spoke about recent student protests over alleged examination irregularities and the NEET paper leak. He said his party expects the Maharashtra government to withdraw cases registered against protesting students and stop what he described as harassment of young demonstrators. Dipke further stated that education is becoming increasingly unaffordable for ordinary families and announced that the CJP would strengthen and expand its organization following the recent nationwide student movement.
