Yogi Adityanath: Aligarh Muslim University Doesn’t Exclusively Belong to Muslims

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath stated that Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) does not exclusively belong to Muslims. He made this comment in response to the Supreme Court’s recent decision on AMU’s minority status.

Adityanath questioned AMU’s plan to reserve 50% of its seats for minorities despite receiving central government funding. He argued that Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, and Other Backward Classes should also have reservation at AMU.
