The Telangana State Road Transport Corporation (TGSRTC) has introduced a new weekly bus pass priced at ₹600 to provide a more affordable and convenient travel option for passengers in Hyderabad. The pass is valid within the Core Urban Region (CURE) limits and allows unlimited travel for seven consecutive days from the date of purchase. Officials said the initiative is aimed at reducing travel expenses while encouraging greater use of the city’s public transport network.
Under the new scheme, passengers can travel on all TGSRTC air-conditioned city buses without purchasing individual tickets for every journey. However, the weekly pass is not valid on Pushpak airport buses, which operate services to and from Rajiv Gandhi International Airport. The corporation said the facility will be especially useful for daily office-goers, tourists, business travellers and visitors who require frequent travel across Hyderabad during a short stay.
TGSRTC officials stated that the weekly pass complements the existing daily and monthly pass options, giving commuters greater flexibility based on their travel needs. The passes are available at all city bus pass counters, and passengers have been advised to obtain them from their nearest authorised centre. According to the corporation, the initiative is expected to make public transport more accessible, reduce dependence on private vehicles and offer a cost-effective travel solution for thousands of commuters across Hyderabad.
