AIIMS Recruitment Re-Exam Disrupted by Technical Glitches in Jaipur, Candidates Stage Protest

Technical glitches disrupted the AIIMS recruitment re-examination at an examination centre in Jaipur on Monday, August 31, leaving several candidates facing difficulties and prompting them to stage a protest. According to police, the examination at the iON Digital Zone centre in Sitapura, which was scheduled to begin at 9 am, started around 30 minutes late because of technical problems. Within a few minutes of the examination beginning, the server reportedly went down, while power outages further affected the conduct of the test. The examination was being held for recruitment to Group B and Group C non-academic posts under the Common Recruitment Examination-5.

Following the repeated disruptions, a large number of candidates came out of the examination centre and protested, expressing anger over the difficulties they faced during the recruitment test. Sanganer Sadar SHO Kamlesh Kumar said AIIMS has cancelled the examination at the centre and that a fresh re-test will be conducted after a few days. The authorities are expected to announce further details regarding the rescheduled examination so that affected candidates can appear again without facing the technical problems reported during Monday’s test.

The same examination centre had also witnessed technical problems during the NEET-PG examination held on Sunday. Police said the online test was disrupted after a server outage, with candidates reporting that their computer screens repeatedly stopped working. Angry candidates subsequently left the examination rooms and protested outside the centre. The back-to-back technical disruptions during two important examinations have raised concerns among candidates about the reliability of the examination infrastructure and the arrangements made for conducting computer-based tests.
