A teenage girl accused of making abusive remarks against Prime Minister Narendra Modi during a protest at Delhi’s Jantar Mantar has issued a public apology in a video that has gone viral on social media. With folded hands, she expressed regret for her actions, saying she was carried away by the atmosphere of the protest and used inappropriate language. She described the incident as the biggest mistake of her life and appealed to the people of the country to forgive her.

In the video, the girl claimed she is only 15 years old and admitted that her behaviour was unacceptable. She said her actions did not deserve forgiveness and assured that such an incident would never happen again. However, her statement has sparked discussion because the Zero FIR reportedly recorded her age as 25 years, creating confusion over her identity and age. Authorities have not yet clarified the discrepancy.

The apology came shortly after Prime Minister Narendra Modi shared a late-night video message on Instagram addressing the protest. In his message, the Prime Minister said he was willing to forgive the “misguided” youngsters involved in the incident and urged society to guide and counsel them instead of focusing only on punishment. His remarks have generated widespread debate, with the apology video continuing to attract significant attention across social media platforms.
