Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy on Wednesday intensified his attack on the Central government over the alleged NEET paper leak and the detention of Rahul Gandhi, demanding the immediate dismissal of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan. Addressing a protest meeting in Kodangal, Reddy said that if Pradhan is not removed from office, Prime Minister Narendra Modi should take responsibility and resign. He also declared that the Congress would continue its agitation against the NDA government “from the streets to Parliament” while expressing confidence that the party would fight for the interests of students and youth across the country.

During his speech, Reddy accused the BJP of failing to protect the future of students and alleged large-scale irregularities in examination processes. He claimed that Congress leader Rahul Gandhi was injured during his detention and praised the sacrifices made by members of the Nehru-Gandhi family. The Chief Minister also launched a political attack on the BJP and BRS, alleging links between a private company involved in the 2019 Telangana Intermediate examination controversy and later evaluation work related to CBSE examinations. He further claimed that the Centre’s failure to act against those responsible encouraged further examination-related irregularities, including the alleged NEET paper leak.

Meanwhile, Congress leaders and workers staged protests in Hyderabad against Rahul Gandhi’s detention and demanded the removal of Dharmendra Pradhan. Led by Telangana Congress president B. Mahesh Kumar Goud and several senior leaders, protesters marched towards Lok Bhavan before being stopped by police and taken into custody. The Congress maintained that it would continue nationwide protests over the NEET issue and the treatment of opposition leaders, while reiterating its demand for accountability from the Union government.
