HMDA Chief Engineer Under ACB Scanner as Raids Conducted Across Hyderabad

Hyderabad: The Telangana Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) on Tuesday carried out simultaneous raids at the residence of HMDA Chief Engineer Bacchu Ravinder and several other locations in Hyderabad in connection with a disproportionate assets (DA) case. The operation was launched following allegations that the official possessed assets exceeding his known sources of income. The searches are being conducted under the supervision of ACB DSP Majid Ali Khan.

According to officials, the ACB teams are conducting searches at 12 locations linked to Ravinder, including the residences of his relatives and family members. Investigators are examining financial records, property documents, and other materials that could be relevant to the ongoing inquiry. The operation remained in progress at the time of reporting, and authorities have not yet disclosed the value or nature of any assets recovered.

The Anti-Corruption Bureau is expected to release an official statement after the completion of the searches, providing further details about the findings of the operation. The investigation forms part of the agency’s continuing efforts to probe allegations of corruption and the accumulation of assets disproportionate to known sources of income by public officials across Telangana.
