Thunderstorms and Short Spells of Heavy Rain Likely in Hyderabad Till October 26

Hyderabad is expected to experience short yet intense spells of rain over the coming days, with thunderstorms predicted across multiple areas. According to the Indian Meteorological Centre, Hyderabad, these weather conditions are likely to persist till October 26, affecting both the city and several districts across Telangana. Local weather expert T. Balaji (Telangana Weatherman) has warned of immediate rainfall activity in regions such as LB Nagar, Vanasthalipuram, Hayathnagar, Saroornagar, Saidabad, Badangpet, Meerpet, Rajendranagar, Chandrayangutta, Bahadurpura, Kishanbagh, Charminar, Malakpet, Nampally, and Khairtabad.

Residents have been advised to stay alert as evening and night hours may bring sudden downpours accompanied by lightning and thunder in different parts of the city. These short but intense showers could cause brief disruptions in traffic and outdoor activities, especially in low-lying areas prone to waterlogging. Commuters are urged to plan their travel accordingly and stay updated on local weather alerts issued by the IMD and Hyderabad traffic authorities.

Meteorologists attribute the unstable weather conditions to shifting pressure systems over the Deccan region, which are triggering cloud formation and thunderstorm development. The city’s residents are expected to experience varying weather patterns — from humid afternoons to sudden rainstorms — over the next few days. With the festive season underway, authorities have also requested citizens to take necessary precautions during outdoor celebrations to avoid any weather-related inconvenience.
