The Telangana State Public Service Commission (TSPSC) Group 1 Main examinations began on October 21, after the Supreme Court declined to grant a stay. The exams are being held at 46 centers, with 31,383 candidates vying for 563 Group 1 posts.
A section of candidates protested, demanding postponement until the High Court decides on pleas challenging Government Order (GO) 29, which tweaked reservation rules. Police made elaborate arrangements to prevent incidents.
Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy wished candidates success, advising them to focus without worries. TSPSC made fool-proof arrangements to ensure smooth conduct. Exams will continue until October 27.
