Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy has commenced a 10-day official visit to the United Kingdom and the United States, departing for London from New Delhi on Thursday. The visit follows his participation in the Congress Working Committee (CWC) meeting held in the national capital on August 19. Congress MP Mallu Ravi and Telangana government advisor on protocol affairs Harkara Venugopal saw the Chief Minister off at the airport before his departure. The overseas tour is aimed at strengthening Telangana’s engagement with globally renowned academic institutions, business leaders, and the Indian diaspora.
During the United Kingdom leg of his visit, Revanth Reddy is scheduled to visit the Blavatnik School of Government at the University of Oxford on August 21 and attend an English Premier League presentation at Emirates Stadium. On August 22, he will interact with a Cambridge team before visiting the Senate House at the University of London and the London Business School. These engagements are expected to focus on governance, higher education, innovation, and opportunities for collaboration between Telangana and leading international institutions.
The Chief Minister will continue his tour in the United States with visits to Harvard University and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) on August 24. On August 25, he is slated to visit the North-Eastern campus and meet representatives from Virginia Tech University in Boston. Later, on August 26, Revanth Reddy will address a “Meet and Greet” event organized by the Indian Overseas Congress (USA) in New York, where he is expected to interact with members of the Indian community. The Chief Minister will conclude his tour by departing New York on August 29 and is scheduled to return to Hyderabad on August 30.
