Telangana CM Launches Digital Family Health Cards

Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy has launched digital family health cards as part of a pilot project running from October 3-8. These cards will provide health and ration benefits to eligible families, eliminating the confusion caused by separate physical cards for various schemes. The digital cards will contain comprehensive health information, including medical history and medication, to aid doctors in diagnosis and treatment.

The digital family health cards are part of Telangana’s “One State-One Card” initiative, aiming to digitalize and streamline welfare services. They will also facilitate access to ration shops, fee reimbursement, and Rythu Beema benefits. Officials will conduct door-to-door surveys in selected areas to gather data and monitor the program’s effectiveness.

The pilot project will be implemented in 119 constituencies, overseen by revenue divisional officers. The feedback from this project will help refine the program’s modalities before its full-scale implementation. This initiative is expected to bring significant convenience and efficiency to the delivery of welfare services in Telangana.
