State Bank of India (SBI) has announced that all its branches will remain open on Sunday, September 27, to help customers complete important banking transactions before the proposed nationwide bank strike. The move comes ahead of a three-day strike called by bank employees’ unions, scheduled from September 28 to 30. SBI has urged customers to visit branches on Sunday to avoid inconvenience during the strike period.

According to the bank, it will make every possible effort to continue essential banking services even if the strike takes place. However, customers may experience disruptions in some branch operations and banking services. To reduce inconvenience, SBI has advised people to complete urgent work such as cash withdrawals, cheque-related transactions, and account services before the strike begins.

For routine banking needs, SBI has encouraged customers to use digital platforms including YONO, internet banking, mobile banking, UPI, ATMs, and Automated Deposit and Withdrawal Machines (ADWMs). The bank also noted that another continuous strike has been proposed from October 26, making it important for customers to plan their banking activities in advance.
