AIMIM president Asaduddin Owaisi has expressed concern over the collection of Special Intensive Revision (SIR) enumeration forms during the Bonalu and Rangam public holidays on August 9 and 10 in Telangana. Owaisi said that his party’s SIR guidance desk received multiple complaints from residents who claimed that Booth Level Officers (BLOs) informed them that enumeration forms would not be collected on the two festival holidays. He said the reports had created confusion and anxiety among voters who were worried about missing the submission deadline.

Urging the concerned authorities to intervene, Owaisi called for immediate clarification to ensure that eligible voters are not inconvenienced during the revision process. He stressed that public holidays should not become a reason for eligible citizens to lose the opportunity to complete the required formalities for inclusion in the electoral rolls. The AIMIM leader said the complaints received by his guidance desk indicate the need for clear instructions to Booth Level Officers so that voters receive accurate information and the revision process remains smooth and transparent.

Meanwhile, Telangana BJP president N. Ramchander Rao said BJP workers have been actively participating in the second phase of the SIR exercise by visiting households and assisting eligible citizens with voter enrolment. Addressing a workshop in Hyderabad, he urged party workers to remain vigilant throughout the revision process and alleged that the BRS, Congress and AIMIM were attempting to facilitate the inclusion of illegal immigrants in the voter list for political gain. He asked BJP workers to intensify their efforts to ensure that every eligible voter is enrolled while identifying and reporting suspicious or ineligible entries during the ongoing Special Intensive Revision.
