Mohammed Asadullah Takes Charge as In-Charge CEO of Telangana Waqf Board

The Telangana government has appointed Additional Collector Mohammed Asadullah as the in-charge Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Telangana Waqf Board. The appointment, announced on Wednesday, October 15, 2025, was made by the Minority Welfare Department through a government order aimed at ensuring continuity and efficient administration within the board’s operations.

According to Government Order (GO) No. 96 issued by B. Shafiullah, Secretary to the Telangana Government, the decision was taken in view of administrative requirements and the need to maintain the board’s day-to-day functioning without disruption. The order specifies that Mohammed Asadullah will assume charge immediately and continue to serve in this capacity until further instructions from the government are issued.

The Telangana Waqf Board, which oversees religious endowments and properties across the state, plays a crucial role in protecting community assets and promoting welfare initiatives. The appointment of Asadullah, an experienced officer with a background in administration, is expected to bring greater focus on transparency, efficiency, and reform within the board’s functioning.
