Medak Fire Accident Claims Seven Cattle in Shivampet Mandal

A devastating fire broke out at Bojya Thanda in Shivampet mandal, Medak district, on Tuesday night, claiming the lives of two milch buffaloes and five calves. The tragic incident occurred when a cattle shed belonging to farmer Banoth Lakshman was engulfed in flames. Locals reported that the fire originated from a heap of hay stored close to the shed, which quickly spread and consumed the entire structure.

The fire raged through the night, and it was only on Wednesday morning that Lakshman discovered the heartbreaking loss. By then, the shed had been reduced to ashes, along with the livestock that served as his family’s main source of livelihood. The buffaloes and calves, which were vital for milk production, could not be rescued in time due to the intensity of the blaze.

The incident has left the farmer in deep distress, as the loss of his cattle means a severe blow to his income. Villagers have come together to urge the government to extend immediate financial assistance to Lakshman, enabling him to purchase new livestock and rebuild his shed. They stressed the need for urgent support to help the family recover from the tragedy and continue their agricultural activities.
