A major accident was reported on Saturday morning along National Highway 65 at Gundrampally in Chityal mandal, Nalgonda district, when an Innova SUV lost control and crashed into a road divider. The vehicle overturned from the impact and burst into flames within minutes. Witnesses said the collision was so intense that thick smoke quickly filled the area, bringing traffic to a standstill on the busy highway.

Miraculously, all eight occupants inside the SUV managed to escape before the fire spread. Nearby motorists and locals rushed to help the passengers, pulling them out just in time. Though no injuries were reported, the car was completely destroyed in the blaze. Firefighters arrived promptly and extinguished the flames, but by then, the vehicle was reduced to ashes.

Police suspect that the accident may have been caused by overspeeding or a sudden steering failure. They have launched an investigation to determine the exact cause. Meanwhile, the incident has once again raised safety concerns about high-speed driving on the highway, with residents urging the authorities to install better warning signs and enforce stricter traffic regulations to prevent such life-threatening mishaps in the future.
